Abstract:
This flexible flat cable is equipped with: foamed polyester resin insulating layers (1a, 1b); a polyolefin adhesive agent layer (2) layered between the foamed polyester resin insulating layers (1a, 1b); and a plurality of conductive wires (3a-3d) embedded in the polyolefin adhesive agent layer (2). The permittivity of the polyolefin adhesive agent layer (2) is less than the permittivity of the foamed polyester resin insulating layers (1a, 1b). In order to reduce permittivity, primarily the permittivity of the polyolefin adhesive agent layer (2) is reduced, and the permittivity of the foamed polyester resin insulating layers (1a, 1b) is caused to be greater than that of the polyolefin adhesive agent layer (2). It is possible to avoid the flexible flat cable becoming susceptible to brittle fracture as it is possible to reduce the permittivity of the cable and there is no need to reduce the permittivity of foamed polyester resin insulating layers by increasing the foaming rate.
