Abstract:
A flow table auditing method, comprising: a flow table auditing apparatus acquiring a software flow table, which is stored in a virtual switch, wherein the software flow table is used for guiding an offload card to forward data packets for communication between different virtual machines; the flow table auditing apparatus also acquiring a hardware flow table, which is stored in the offload card, wherein the hardware flow table is obtained by means of the offload card storing the software flow table, which is sent by the virtual switch, and the hardware flow table is used for offloading a data forwarding function of the virtual switch to the offload card; and the flow table auditing apparatus auditing whether the hardware flow table matches the software flow table, so as to detect whether the hardware flow table in the offload card is abnormal. Therefore, a flow table auditing apparatus can detect, in a timely manner, that a flow table in an offload card is abnormal, such that an error occurring when the offload card forwards data packets for communication between different virtual machines can be detected. In this way, corresponding operation and maintenance are performed on the offload card, such that an error occurring when the offload card forwards the data packets can be avoided as much as possible, and the service running on the virtual machines can thus be prevented from being affected.
