Title:
FLUID HANDLING DEVICE FOR LIQUID HYDROGEN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/010405
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to propose a fluid handling device for liquid hydrogen, which prevents evaporation of liquid hydrogen and has excellent thermal insulation property such that oxygen in the surrounding area is not liquefied. This fluid handling device for liquid hydrogen is configured such that: a piping part 1 is provided with a heat insulating structure; a swivel joint part 2 is formed such that helium gas is encapsulated in a boundary relative rotation part 6 between an outer ring part 3 and an inner ring part 4 having a bearing part 5 interposed therebetween; a vacuum part 9 is extendedly provided in an axial direction between an external air contact wall part 7 that makes contact with external air and a liquid hydrogen contact wall part 8 that makes contact with liquid hydrogen; and a thermal conduction extension pathway part 10 is provided such that one end thereof is provided continuously to the external air contact wall part 7 and the other end is provided continuously to the liquid hydrogen contact wall part 8, thereby extending the thermal conduction distance between the external air contact wall part 7 and the liquid hydrogen contact wall part 8. As a result, thermal conduction between the external air contact wall part 7 and the liquid hydrogen contact wall part 8 is reduced.
