Abstract:
The invention prevents the occurrence of image blurring in fluorescent images while reducing the amount of noise in the fluorescent images. Provided is a fluorescent endoscope apparatus (1) having: an illumination unit (3) that irradiates excitation light and illumination light on the subject (A); a fluorescent imaging unit (18) that photographs the fluorescence generated in the subject (A) by the irradiation of the excitation light from the illumination unit (3) and acquires a fluorescent image; a storage unit that stores the acquired fluorescent image; a returning light imaging unit (18) that photographs the returning light returning from the subject (A) as a result of the irradiation of the illumination light from the illumination unit (3) and acquires a returning light image; an image data extraction unit that extracts, from the acquired returning light image, image data representing the intensity of the illumination light irradiated on the subject (A); an added image number-setting unit that sets, on the basis of the extracted image data, the number of images to be added so as to be lower for higher illumination light intensities; and an averaged image-generating unit that generates an averaged image by averaging the set number of fluorescent images to be added, which are stored in the storage part.
