Title:
FLUORINE-SUBSTITUTED IRIDIUM COMPLEX AND LUMINESCENT MATERIAL MADE WITH THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/118606
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A luminescent element which can luminesce at a high luminance and high efficiency and has excellent durability; and a blue-luminescence iridium complex represented by, e.g., the following general formula (1), a compound for use as a raw material for the complex, and a luminescent material made with the complex. The iridium complex can be used in the luminescent element and is applicable also to materials for organic electroluminescent elements, materials for electrochemiluminescent (ECL) elements, luminescence sensors, photosensitizers, displays, fluorescent brighteners, photographic materials, laser dyes, dyes for color filters, optical communication, color conversion filters, backlights, illumination, photosensitizing dyes, various light sources, etc. (In the general formula (1), R1 to R8 each represents hydrogen or a substituent, provided that at least one of R1 and R3 is fluorine and at least one of R5 and R7 is fluorine; L1 represents a nitrogenous heterocycle ligand, diketone ligand, carboxylic acid ligand, pyrazolyl borate ligand, phosphorus ligand, or halogen ligand; n1 is an integer of 1-3; and n2 is an integer of 0-4.)
