Abstract:
Provided is a foil transfer device wherein a mechanism that can implement both supply and rewinding of a foil film can be made compact. This foil transfer device comprises: a supply reel 31; a take-up reel 35; a motor M; a first gear train 100; a second gear train 200; and a control unit 300 that can implement a supply action in which a foil film F is reeled in by the take-up reel 35, and a rewind action in which the foil film F is rewound onto the supply reel 31. The first gear train 100 has a pendulum gear 110 that, during implementation of the supply action, permits the supply reel 31 to rotate in an outgoing direction in which the foil film F is sent out, and when the rewind action is implemented, transmits a driving force and causes the supply reel 31 to rotate in the opposite direction from the outgoing direction. The second gear train 200 has a pendulum gear 210 that, during implementation of the supply action, transmits a driving force and causes the take-up reel 35 to rotate in a take-up direction in which the foil film F is reeled in, and when the rewind action is implemented, permits the take-up reel 35 to rotate in the opposite direction from the take-up direction.
