Abstract:
Provided is a foil transfer device capable of effectively suppressing variations in transferability of a foil onto a medium in a foil transfer device for transferring a foil onto an elongate medium. A foil transfer device 1 is provided with: an adhesive application mechanism 5 that applies an adhesive to an elongate medium 2; a medium transfer mechanism 6 that transfers the medium 2 in a longitudinal direction of the medium 2; and a transfer roller pair 7 for transferring a foil onto the medium 2 by pressing a foil transfer sheet 3, in which a foil to be transferred onto the medium 2 is formed on a base material, onto the medium 2 to which the adhesive has been applied. The transfer roller pair 7 is composed of a first foil transfer roller 29 that contacts the medium 2, and a second foil transfer roller 30 that contacts the foil transfer sheet 3. A heater is built inside at least one of the first foil transfer roller 29 and the second foil transfer roller 30.
