Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a foldable display which has excellent mass producibility and which is unlikely to cause distortion of an image displayed on a folding portion after the display is folded repeatedly, and a portable terminal device having this foldable display mounted thereto. [Solution] This foldable display has a polarizer and a surface protection film that is made from a polyester film satisfying conditions (1) the refractive index in the bending direction is 1.590-1.620, (2) the refractive index in the direction of a folding part is 1.670-1.700, (3) the refractive index in the thickness direction is not more than 1.520, and (4) the density is not less than 1.380 g/cm3 (here, the bending direction is a direction orthogonal to the folding part when the polyester film is folded), wherein an angle formed by a slow axis of the polyester film and an absorption axis of the polarizer is 10-80 degrees.
