Abstract:
A four-electron conversion iodine-based electrochemical reaction aqueous zinc-iodine battery and an electrolyte capable of realizing the four-electron conversion. The electrolyte is an aqueous solution containing Zn2+ and I+ stabilizers. The total molar concentration of the Zn2+ and I+ stabilizers is no less than 5M. In addition, the electrolyte also optionally contains an organic solvent. Said zinc-iodine battery is based on a new conversion mechanism and can break through the performance bottleneck of the existing zinc-iodine batteries, and effectively improve the electrochemical performance.
