Title:
FREQUENCY CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/038994
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention provides a frequency converter having a plurality of mixers for adjusting the reception bandwidth in relation to mixers that use magnetoresistive effect elements to generate multiplicative signals. [Solution] In the frequency converter, a pinned magnetization layer, a magnetization free layer, and a non-magnetic spacer layer placed between the pinned magnetization layer and the magnetization free layer are provided. When a first high frequency signal and a local second high frequency signal are input, a plurality of mixers having magnetoresistive effect elements for multiplying the two high frequency signals by using the magnetoresistive effect to generate multiplicative signals and a magnetic field application unit for applying a magnetic field to the magnetization free layer are provided. A plurality of multiplicative signals, which are generated when the first high frequency signals and different local second high frequency signals for each of the plurality of mixers are input, is added and output.
