Abstract:
Provided are: a frictional material composition from which it is possible to form a low-steel material that produces less amount of fine abrasion powder and dust such as PM10 and PM2.5 during braking, even when copper components are not contained or contained in a small amount of less than 0.5 mass%; and a frictional material and a frictional member which use said frictional material composition. This frictional material composition contains, as copper elements, less than 0.5 mass% of copper components. The frictional material composition contains a binding material, steel-based fibers, and a titanate. The contained amount of the steel-based fibers is not less than 10 mass% but less than 30 mass% with respect to 100 mass% of the total amount of the frictional material composition.
