Abstract:
A frit seal furnace for frit-sealing a panel and a funnel of a cathode ray tube; and a frame of the cathode ray tube used for the frit seal furnace. The frit seal furnace (1) has a transfer belt (5) for transferring a frame (21) to hold a panel (31) and a funnel (32) overlapped through a frit glass (33) into a furnace body (3) by a pair of chain belts (4a and 4b). This prevents metal powder affecting the dielectric strength of the frit seal portion from being produced and the transfer belt (5) from meandering to improve maintainability of the furnace, and simplifies cleaning of the furnace. The frame (21) of the cathode ray tube of the present invention forms the mounting surface with the transfer belt (5) of the frit seal furnace (1) by a mesh (26) so that it is suitable for the frit seal furnace (1). Even if the tube is broken, pieces of glass are prevented from falling onto the hearth and air flow in the furnace is not interrupted.
