Provided are a front-loading washing machine and a control method therefor. The front-loading washing machine comprises a first inner drum (1701) and a second inner drum (1702) arranged inside the first inner drum (1701), wherein the second inner drum (1702) is provided with a sealable independent washing chamber independently containing washing water during clothes washing. According to the front-loading washing machine, the first inner drum (1701) serves as an independent washing drum and can wash clothes independently, the second inner drum (1702) is provided with the sealable independent washing chamber and can also serve as an independent washing drum to wash clothes independently, and due to the second inner drum (1702) being provided with the sealable independent washing chamber, the washing water is independently contained during clothes washing, and in this way, when the first inner drum (1701) and the second inner drum (1702) carry out washing simultaneously, water in the two drums is not mixed together, such that simultaneous independent zoned washing of the two drums is achieved.
