Abstract:
This fuel cell system is provided with: a plurality of fuel cell stacks (1); and a plurality of power controllers (2). In the fuel cell system, the number of the fuel cell stacks (1) to be operated and the number of the power controllers (2) to be operated vary according to a load. Only one of the plurality of power controllers (2) is set to be a master power controller (2), and the other power controllers are set to be slave power controllers (2). The master power controller (2) can be autonomous during power failure of the system. According to the present invention: (i) the master power controller (2) is set so that the operation time of the fuel cell stacks (1) that are connected to the slave power controllers (2) is longer than that of the fuel cell stack (1) connected to the maser power controller (2); or (ii) when the voltage of the fuel cell stack (1) connected to the master power controller (2) is lower than a prescribed value, another power controller (2) is set as the master power controller (2).
