Abstract:

A fuel cell system (1) is provided with a modifier (22), a plurality of cell stacks (23), and an exhaust gas combustion burner (24). The modifier (22) has a cylindrical shape extending in the axial direction and modifies a raw fuel to generate a fuel gas. The plurality of cell stacks (23) generates electricity using the fuel gas and an oxidant gas. The plurality of cell stacks (23) is disposed side by side in the circumferential direction on the radially outer side of the modifier (22) and faces the modifier (22) in the radial direction. The exhaust gas combustion burner (24) burns unconsumed fuel gas contained in exhaust gas from the plurality of cell stacks (23). The exhaust gas combustion burner (24) is disposed on the radially inner side of the modifier (22) and faces the modifier (22) in the radial direction. Each of the plurality of cell stacks (23) is provided with a plurality of plate-like cells laminated in the radial direction. Thereby, the fuel cell system (1) can be reduced in size.
