Abstract:
Provided is a technology that makes it possible to perform scavenging of air in a state where the water level is low in a tank, while minimizing the number of times of opening/closing a drain valve. In this fuel cell system, a drain valve is opened and water in a tank is discharged when the water level in the tank becomes equal to or higher than a prescribed upper limit water level, and, in a state where the upper limit water level is set to a first upper limit water level, a control unit is configured to: change a setting of the upper limit water level from the first upper limit water level to a second upper limit water level which is less than the first upper limit water level, when an output value detected by an output detection means becomes a prescribed reference value or lower; and perform scavenging of air using a scavenging means when the water level in the tank becomes equal to or lower than the second upper limit water level.
