Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent fuel remaining in the vicinity of an injection nozzle outlet from carbonizing and adhering in the form of deposits and thereby changing the shape of spray and the injection flow rate. Provided is a fuel injection valve equipped with a seat part into which the valve body seats, and a seat part in which is formed an injection hole through which fuel is injected to the downstream side of the former seat part, wherein a concave surface that recedes towards the opposite side with respect to the fuel injection direction is formed to the outer peripheral side from the injection hole in the end surface of the downstream side of the seat member, the recessed surface being designed such that in an area to the outer peripheral side thereof, the wettability of the material surface to fuel is greater than the wettability in an area to the inner peripheral side.
