Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a fusion promotion device with which the risk of suture failure after an operation such as a surgical operation can be reduced, and which can be sufficiently retained by a medical instrument that is used in a procedure for joining biological organs. [Solution] A fusion promotion device 100 includes a fusion promotion sheet 110. The fusion promotion sheet has a body part 111 that is formed of a biodegradable sheet having a plurality of through holes 112, and that promotes fusion of biological tissues between biological organs to be joined. A slit 120, into which a medical instrument that is used in a procedure for joining the biological organs can be inserted, is formed in the fusion promotion sheet.
