Abstract:
Provided is a gas generator assembling method, wherein a shell container having a bottom surface part and a peripheral wall part, which extends toward an opening formed at a position opposite the bottom surface part and which is connected to a peripheral edge of the bottom surface part, is prepared, and a cylindrical filter having an outside diameter smaller than an inside diameter of the peripheral wall part is inserted from the opening of the shell container into the shell container so that an outer peripheral portion of the filter is aligned with the peripheral wall part. Then, a filter restriction jig for restricting movement of the filter in a radial direction is abutted against the outer peripheral portion and the shell container to position the filter in the radial direction with respect to the shell container, and a gas generating agent is filled inside the filter. The gas generating agent is filled until the gas generating agent interacts with each other in the radial direction inside the filter, so as to prevent movement of the filter in the radial direction in the shell container.
