A human hair fiber treatment agent for treating human hair fibers separated from the head of a human, a portion of the human hair fibers in the length direction being artificially secured, wherein the composition of the human hair fiber treatment agent contains the following components (A) – (C), the content of component (A) being 1 mass% or more. (A) Formaldehyde or a hydrate thereof
(B) The melamine derivative expressed in general formula (1)
(R1 – R3 indicate a hydrogen atom, a hydroxymethyl amino group, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, a phenyl group, a C1-6 straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl group or alkenyl group, or a C1-6 straight-chain or branched-chain alkoxy group or alkenyloxy group.)
