Abstract:
A gas safety device according to the present invention is provided with: a flow passage (1) for allowing a gas to flow therein; a flow-volume measurement unit (15) for measuring a flow volume of the gas flowing in the flow passage (1); an absolute-pressure pressure sensor (5) that is disposed in the interior of the flow passage (1) and that measures the absolute pressure of the gas; an absolute-pressure pressure sensor (7) that is disposed outside the flow passage (1) and that measures the absolute pressure of the atmospheric pressure; and a gas-pressure determination unit (8) for measuring a change in a gas supply pressure from the measured values of the absolute-pressure pressure sensor (5) and the absolute-pressure pressure sensor (7). The gas safety device is further provided with: a shutoff valve (2) for shutting the flow passage (1); and a control circuit (9) that controls the flow-volume measurement unit (15) and that, when an abnormality is determined on the basis of the gas flow volume measured by the flow-volume measurement unit (15) or a change in the gas supply pressure measured by the gas-pressure determination unit 8, shuts the flow passage (1) by means of the shutoff valve (2).
