Abstract:
A gene containing a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence represented by, for example, SEQ ID NO:1. This gene, which shows amplification in the 9p23-24 domain and has a PX domain and a PHD finger motif, plays important roles in the proliferation and differentiation of cells and the formation of tumor. Thus, it is useful in clarifying the pathological conditions of various diseases wherein cell differentiation participates (malignant tumor, etc.) and diagnosing and treating these diseases, etc.
