Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gasket for ensuring the insulation of a plate that is exposed inside recesses or limiting the occurrence of rust, etc. on a plate that is exposed inside recesses, thereby maintaining plate function and component service life over long periods. To achieve said purpose, a gasket, which has a plate, a covering part made of a rubber-like elastic body that covers the periphery of the plate, and seal lips provided on a flat surface of the covering part, and in which recesses that are marks from plate holding during gasket molding are formed on the flat surface of the covering part on the outside of the seal lips, is characterized in that a second seal lip is provided on the flat surface, further to the outside of the recesses. The plate is a fuel cell separator and the second seal lip is provided as a seal lip for separator insulation.
