Abstract:
A glass film manufacturing method comprising a molding step P1 for molding a belt-shaped glass film G, a vertical conveyance step P2 for conveying the belt-shaped glass film G in a vertical direction D1, a direction changing step P3 for causing the belt-shaped glass film G to pass through a catenary 1 and causing the conveyance direction thereof to change from the vertical direction D1 to a horizontal direction D2, a wrinkle removal step P4 for eliminating wrinkles C of the belt-shaped glass film G entering the catenary 1, and a horizontal conveyance step P5 for conveying the belt-shaped glass film G in the horizontal direction D2, said method being such that in the wrinkle removal step P4, tension toward the width direction outer side relative to the conveyance direction of the belt-shaped glass film G is imparted to the belt-shaped glass film G further on the downstream side than the catenary 1.
