Abstract:
A glass forming device and method. The glass forming device comprises a melting furnace (100), a forming mold (200), a power mechanism (300) and a conduit (400), wherein the melting furnace (100) is provided with a first opening (110); the melting furnace (100) heats and melts metal into molten metal and stores the molten metal; one end of the conduit (400) extends out of the melting furnace (100) through the first opening (110); one end of the conduit (400) is in communication with the forming mold (200), and the other end of the conduit (400) is suspended in the molten metal; the conduit (400) is used for providing a flow channel for the molten metal; the power mechanism (300) comprises a driving portion (301) and a punch (302) fixedly connected to the driving portion (301); the punch (302) is suspended above the end of the conduit (400) that is located in the molten metal; the driving portion (301) drives the punch (302) to move close to or away from the end of the conduit (400) that is suspended in the molten metal, so as to drive the molten metal to flow to or flow out of the forming mold (200) through the conduit (400); the forming mold (200) comprises a cavity, the cavity being in communication with the melting furnace (100) by means of the conduit (400) for the molten metal to flow into the cavity; and a glass preform is fixed in the cavity and is softened and formed under the action of the molten metal, so as to form a glass element.
