Abstract:
A safe, highly reliable, and lightweight glass funnel for cathode ray tube, wherein, in the outer peripheral portion of a body (3) formed by allowing the body to cross a plane perpendicular to a tube axis (A), outwardly projected bent parts (8) having the outer peripheral portion and the intersections thereof with surfaces including diagonal axes and the tube axis are formed along at least a part of the outer peripheral portion and, in planes where the positions of the bent parts include the diagonal axes and the tube axis, the requirement of L&sol D ≤ 1&sol 2 is satisfied where the magnitudes of the components of distances between a boundary part between the body part (3) and a yoke part (4) and the bent parts (8) and a distance between the boundary part and an opening end part in the directions of the diagonal axes thereof are L and D.
