Abstract:

A glass plate PG production device 10 that can quickly raise the temperature of forming rolls. The production device 10 comprises: a pair of forming rolls 30 (31, 32) that roll molten glass MG that flows down from a supply part 20 into a plate shape; and a cover 51 that covers a second forming roll 32 over the axial direction. The cover 51 shifts between a proximate position P1 that is close to the second forming roll 32 and a retracted position P2 that is separated from the second forming roll 32.
