Abstract:
A glass plate splitting machine 1 is provided with a flexible endless belt 3, a support mechanism having a support surface for supporting a glass plate at a center part of the bottom surface of the glass plate via the endless belt 3, glass plate receiving devices 7, 7a having glass plate receiving surfaces 6, 6a, movement devices 8, 8a for moving the glass plate receiving devices 7, 7a in an X-direction and a Y-direction orthogonal to the X-direction, push-cracking devices 9, 9a having pushing surfaces, and movement devices 10, 10a for moving the push-cracking devices 9, 9a in the X-direction and the Y-direction orthogonal to the X-direction, the movement devices 8, 8a being configured so as to move the glass plate receiving devices so that the glass plate receiving surfaces are disposed in positions outside a region surrounded by a cut line of the glass plate in plan view when the glass plate is push-cracked, the movement devices 10, 10a being configured so as to move the push-cracking devices so that the pushing surfaces are disposed in positions corresponding to the glass plate receiving surfaces and outside the region surrounded by the cut line of the glass plate in plan view during push-cracking of the glass plate by the pushing surfaces, and push-cracking along the cut line of the glass plate by the pushing surfaces being performed on the glass plate outside the region surrounded by the cut line of the glass plate flexed by the glass plate receiving surfaces disposed further upward than the support surface of the support mechanism.
