Abstract:
The invention addresses the problem of providing: a transport mechanism that allows both high transport capacity and the protection of transport items and the mechanism itself; a medium processing device using same; and a transport method. The problem is resolved by a transport mechanism, a medium processing device comprising same, and a transport method, wherein the transport mechanism comprises a transport route that is a passage by which a transport item is transported, a transport member that moves the transport item along the transport route, a motor that drives the transport member, a control unit that controls the output torque of the motor, a transport state identification means that identifies a transport state, which is the position and/or transport direction of the transport item on the transport route, and a storage unit that stores the maximum torque information, which is the maximum value of the output torque permitted by the motor or a parameter value required in calculating the maximum value, for each type of transport state, and the control unit acquires the maximum torque information according to the transport state from the storage unit on the basis of the transport state identified by the transport state identification means and dynamically switches the maximum output torque permitted by the motor.
