Abstract:
The growth agent for multicellular algae according to the present invention solves problems pertaining to seaweed cultivation, there being provided a growth agent for multicellular algae that strengthens resistance against various types of stress and promotes growth for common multicellular algae. The main component of the growth agent is any of the following: zerumbone, sanguinarine, salicylic acid, polyamine, geldanamycin, isothianate, trimethyl glycine, perillaldehyde, citral, carotene, lycopene, zeaxanthin, cryptoxanthin, lutein, phenylethylisothiocyanate, ursolic acid, yabatsui, arnica, Inula britannica, Inula linariaefolia, salvia, marjoram, Scutellaria baicalensis, Amomum villosum, amomum seed, Alpinia galanga, Angelica acutiloba, pepper, Citrus unshiu, or Citrus aurantium.
