Abstract:
The present invention reduces interfering signals and enhances communication efficiency when interference is introduced from surrounding wireless communication devices. Provided is a guard terminal device which is used along with an access point for performing wireless communication with a wireless terminal device, and which outputs a signal for medium reservation and is provided with a leaky coaxial cable for wirelessly transmitting said signal for medium reservation. The leaky coaxial cable is disposed in a portion of the communication range of the access point. The guard terminal device transmits a signal for shortening the reservation time of a medium reservation signal transmitted by the access point or by another guard terminal device used along with the access point.
