Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a hair cosmetic composition which exhibits flow properties suitable for a hair cosmetic, has high temperature stability in terms of the viscosity thereof, and imparts a favorable texture to hair following application thereto. To this end, the present invention provides a hair cosmetic composition which contains a component (A), which is an aqueous gelling agent represented by general formula (1), and a component (B), which is a cationic surfactant and/or a cationic polymer, wherein the viscosity of an aqueous solution containing 1 mass% of the component (A) at 25°C is 1,000-5,000 mPa·s, the clouding point of the aqueous solution containing 1 mass% of the component (A) is 60-80°C, inclusive, and the weight-average molecular weight of the component (A) is 10,000-30,000. The present invention also provides a method for producing the aqueous gelling agent, and a method for producing the hair cosmetic composition. (In the formula, R1, R2, R8 and R9 each independently represent a C4-20 hydrocarbon group, R3, R5 and R7 each independently represent a C2-4 divalent hydrocarbon group, R4 and R6 each independently represent a C3-16 divalent hydrocarbon group, a and e each independently represent a number between 10 and 100, inclusive, d represents a number between 100 and 500, inclusive, and g represents a number between 0 and 10, inclusive.)
