Abstract:
To improve user's convenience and a cooking performance by providing a display unit having a high freedom of indication and capable of indicating pictures and graphs as well as characters and numerals, and freely indicating an input operation, an information during cooking, an information on past cooking and the like on the display unit. The apparatus comprises a storage space (10) for storing food, heating means (11) for heating food, input means (13) for inputting a heating condition, physical quantity detecting means (15) for detecting physical quantities of the storage space (10) or food, dot matrix type display means (14) for indicating the heating condition and a control status, and control means (12) for controlling the heating means (11) and the input means (13). The display means (14) is constructed such that a time-dependent change of physical quantities during heat cooking is graphically indicated, with the result that the use of a dot matrix type display unit as the display means (14) increases a freedom of indication and improves user's convenience. Thus the capability of indicating pictures and graphs as well as characters and numerals enables visualized, clear indication of an input operation and an information during cooking. Also, the physical quantity detecting means (15) is provided to graphically indicate a change of physical quantities detected in such a manner as to show a change with time, whereby it is possible to accurately identify physical changes caused by heat cooking to easily determine an optimum heat cooking condition.
