Abstract:
A heat exchanger (10) with a front group of heat exchange conduits (40) extending between a front inlet tank (12) and a front outlet tank (16). A rear group of heat exchange conduits (42) extend between a rear inlet tank (20) and a rear outlet tank (24). A reinforcing plate (50A) is adjacent to the front group of heat exchange conduits (40) and the rear group of heat exchange conduits (42) to restrict twisting thereof. A first stress-relief area (60A) of the reinforcing plate (50A) is proximate to, and spaced apart from, both the front inlet tank (12) and the rear inlet tank (20). A second stress-relief area (60B) of the reinforcing plate (50A) is proximate to, and spaced apart from, both the front outlet tank (16) and the rear outlet tank (24).
