Abstract:
This hermetically sealed battery is provided with a battery can in the shape of a bottomed cylinder having an opening, an electrode body accommodated in the battery can, and a sealing plate which blocks the opening in the battery can, wherein: the sealing plate is provided with a flat plate-shaped outer circumferential portion, an inner circumferential portion, and an inclined portion interposed therebetween, and is provided with a first main surface facing the outside of the battery can, and a second main surface on the opposite side to the first main surface; and the inclined portion is inclined in such a way that the inner circumferential portion is disposed further toward the outside of the battery can than the outer circumferential portion, and the inclined portion is provided with a thin-walled portion and a base portion which is thicker than the thin-walled portion, arranged side-by-side in the radial direction of the sealing plate.
