Abstract:
A high-frequency amplifier (10) is provided with: a carrier amplifier (CA) which amplifies a first signal; a peak amplifier (PA) which amplifies a second signal; a first transmission line (L1) which is connected to between an output terminal (OUT) of the carrier amplifier (CA) and an output terminal (OUT) of the peak amplifier (PA) and which has an electrical length equal to a quarter wavelength of the central frequency in a prescribed frequency band; a second transmission line (L2) which is connected to between an output terminal (OUT) and one end of the first transmission line (L1) and which has an electrical length equal to a quarter wavelength of the central frequency; and an impedance compensation circuit (12), one end of which is connected to a connection point (X) between the first transmission line (L1) and the second transmission line (L2), wherein the imaginary part of an impedance in a direction from the connection point (X) toward the impedance compensation circuit (12) has a polarity opposite to that of the imaginary part of an impedance in a direction from the connection point (X) toward the second transmission line (L2).
