Abstract:
Provided is a method for stereoselectively producing a disubstituted halogenated epoxide under industrially practicable conditions. According to the present invention, a disubstituted halogenoolefin represented by general formula: [1] [in the formula, Rf represents a straight-chain fluoroalkyl group having one or more fluorine atoms and 1-10 carbon atoms or represents a branched fluoroalkyl group having one or more fluorine atoms and 3-10 carbon atoms, and X1 represents a halogen atom] is reacted with hypohalous acid or a salt thereof, to produce a disubstituted halogenated epoxide represented by general formula: [2] [in the formula, Rf and X1 are the same as Rf and X1 of general formula [1], and * represents an asymmetric carbon].
