Abstract:
A combination padlock (10) comprises,a body (20),true gates (23),a locking ball (80),a spindle (30) and a plurality of clutches (40) and dials (50),a shackle (90) which contains a neck (91),a locking bolt (70) with a neck (71), the spindle (30) to control the padlock (10) opening of the locking bolt (70) and to control the alignment of the true gates (23) of the clutches (40),the plurality of clutches (40) to prevent the padlock (10) from being opened when the dials (50) are not in a locked opened combination,the clutches (40) having extended fins (42) with rounded edges (43),and the plurality of dials (50) to control the rotational movement of the clutches (40),so that when the extended fins (42) of the clutches (40) are fully aligned with the true gates (23),a user can pull a knob-side (34) of the spindle (30) to the right so that the neck (91) of the shackle (90) forces the locking ball (80) to move upward away from the neck (91) of the shackle (90) so as to unlock the padlock (10).
