Abstract:
A hinge mechanism and an electronic device. The hinge mechanism (1) comprises a base (1020) and a main hinge module (101), the base (1020) comprising a supporting surface for supporting a flexible display screen (4). The main hinge module (101) comprises a first rotation assembly (101a) and a second rotation assembly (101b), the first rotation assembly (101a) and the second rotation assembly (101b) being provided on two opposite sides of the base (1020). The first rotation assembly (101a) comprises a first support plate (102), the first support plate (102) comprising a first plate surface (102a) used for supporting the flexible display screen (4). The second rotation assembly (101b) comprises a second support plate (103), the second support plate (103) comprising a second plate surface (103a) used for supporting the flexible display screen (4). When the hinge mechanism is in a closed state, the included angle between the first plate surface (102a) and a bearing surface (102a) is less than the included angle between the second plate surface (103a) and the bearing surface (102a), so that a screen accommodating space is formed among the first plate surface (102a), the second plate surface (103a) and the bearing surface (102a). In the apparatus, the screen accommodating space formed among the two support plates and the base is an obliquely triangular space, so that the width of the hinge mechanism is reduced, and the width of a bending area of the flexible display screen can be less.
