Abstract:
A hollow fiber bundle that through ensuring of given hollow fiber interspace,
facilitates scrubbing; a process for producing such a hollow fiber bundle; a
relevant tubular hollow fiber membrane module; and a relevant immersion type
hollow fiber membrane module. There is provided a hollow fiber bundle composed
of bundled porous hollow fibers, comprising hollow fibers (10) each being closed
on its one-end side and being open on its opposite-end side; and, disposed perpendicularly
to the hollow fibers so as to fix the hollow fibers, platelike closed-side potting
part (60) and open-side potting part (50), wherein the closed-side potting part
is furnished with multiple through-holes (30) arranged on a circle, and wherein
inside each of the through-holes, hollow fibers are bundled into a cylindrical
form and arranged so that the interspace of hollow fibers adjacent to each other
in the circumferential direction is set for given circumferential spacing while
the interspace of hollow fibers adjacent to each other in the radial direction
is set for given radial spacing, and wherein outside each of the through-holes,
hollow fibers are bundled into a form surrounding the outside of the through-hole
and arranged so that the interspace of hollow fibers adjacent to each other in
the outer circumferential direction of the outside surrounding form is set for
given outer circumferential spacing while the interspace of hollow fibers adjacent
to each other in the direction perpendicular to the outer circumferential direction
is set for given outer circumferential perpendicular spacing.
