Abstract:
A hybrid vehicle in which excellent acceleration response can be achieved and
the pumping loss is reduced. When a request to stop the combustion of an engine
is given, a fuel cut is performed to control the rotational speed of a generator.
Since the rotational speed of the engine is controlled to a predetermined rotational
speed (NE1), the engine is rotated in trailing. While the engine is rotating in
trailing, the intake valve and the discharge valve are fully closed to stop the
engine.
