Abstract:

A hydrogen generation device (100) is equipped with: a reformer (3) for generating a hydrogen-containing gas by using a starting material; a hydro-desulfurizer (2) for removing a sulfur compound in the starting material; a recycling channel (8) for supplying the hydrogen-containing gas to the starting material before introducing the starting material to the hydro-desulfurizer (2); a booster (1) for supplying the starting material to the reformer (3); a starting-material supply channel (5) through which the starting material to be supplied to the reformer (3) flows; and an ejector (9) into which the hydrogen-containing gas from the recycling channel (8) flows, and positioned in the starting-material supply channel (5) at a location downstream of the booster (1) and upstream of the hydro-desulfurizer (2).
