Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an illumination device exhibiting candleflame-like light distribution characteristics by light from a highly directional light source. [Solution] This invention is characterized in having a light source emitting high-directionality light, one or more translucent inside covers disposed so that the light from the light source passes therethrough, and a translucent and hollow outside cover covering the outside of the inside cover; the tip of the inside cover disposed on the immediate inside of the outside cover being shaped so as to taper towards the apex, and the outside cover being shaped so that the length between the apex of the inside cover disposed on the immediate inside and the apex of the outside cover is greater than the inner dimension of a cross-section perpendicular to the optical axis at the position of the apex of the inside cover disposed on the immediate inside.
