Abstract:
An image coding method, apparatus, and electronic device. The image coding method comprises: dividing a coding block of an image into a plurality of transform units having a uniform transform unit structure; a hidden symbol bit being set for each basic unit of the residual error coefficient of the coding block; using a basic unit as the unit, mapping the residual error coefficient of the plurality of transform units to the residual error coefficient of a plurality of frequency domain blocks; and coding the mapped residual error coefficients into a bit stream. Thus, TB to FB mapping for a UTU structure can be implemented, the energy of the symbols can be concentrated, and the bit cost of encoding can be decreased. Each basic unit is mapped as a whole, and the corresponding SBH continues to be valid without loss of compression efficiency.
