Abstract:

An image compression method, comprising: selecting M pixels from an image of a pth band of a remote sensing image; determining a neighborhood vector of each pixel in the image of the pth band on the basis of a compression level identifier and p; generating a pixel value matrix on the basis of the neighborhood vectors of the M pixels; performing a linear regression operation on the pixel value matrix, a transposed matrix of the pixel value matrix and pixel values of the M pixels, so as to obtain model parameter values of the image of the pth band; calculating predicted pixel values of the image of the pth band on the basis of the model parameter values of the image of the pth band and the neighborhood vectors; determining a pixel residual of the image of the pth band on the basis of the pixel values and the predicted pixel values of the image of the pth band; encoding pixel residuals of images of all bands to obtain encoded residual data; and generating a compressed file on the basis of the encoded residual data, the compression level identifier and the model parameter values of the images of all bands. Further provided in the present application is an image processing apparatus capable of implementing the image compression method.
