Abstract:
An image display device according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with light source units (610, 650), an optical element (620), and a holding unit. The light source units (610, 650) emit outgoing light. The optical element (620) includes light reflection units (626, 656), and light transmission units (627, 657) provided at positions different from the light reflection units (626, 656). The holding unit movably or rotatably holds the optical element (620) and can switch between a first state in which the light reflection units (626, 656), for example, are disposed on the optical path of the outgoing light of the light source unit (610) and a second state in which the light transmission units (627, 657) are disposed on the optical path of the outgoing light of the light source unit (610).
