Abstract:
Crosstalk is minimized by providing this image display device with: a display unit (10) obtained by positioning display elements in a matrix shape by arranging the display elements in the array direction of the display elements and a direction perpendicular to said array direction; and a lens unit (11) obtained by positioning, in the display unit (10), a plurality of lenses (110) which are positioned so as to correspond to each inclined row display element group comprising a plurality of display elements contiguous in a direction inclined with respect to the array direction, the lenses being positioned along this inclined pixel group, and forming images from light outputted from each of the display elements that constitute the inclined row display element group; and a light-shielding part (101) which inhibits the emission from the lens (110) of output light from unnecessary component output elements, which are display elements other than the display elements that make up the inclined row display element group corresponding to the lens (110).
