Abstract:
Disclosed is an image display device that has promise for excellent display characteristics and increased compactness through electrical connection using a flexible substrate, even if the display device is high definition or large screen. In the image display device: the flexible substrate has a common substrate section and a first substrate section and second substrate section that branch from each other from the common substrate section; when looking down on the surface of the flexible substrate, a plurality of wiring is provided from each of the first substrate section and the second substrate section towards the common substrate section in a manner so as to converge; a device-side connection terminal for connecting with the display device is formed on the common substrate section, and a circuit-side connection terminal for connecting with a circuit board is formed on each of the first substrate section and the second substrate section; a first connector is disposed on one surface of the circuit board and a second connector is disposed on the other surface; and with the flexible substrate in a state wherein at least one of the first substrate section or the second substrate section is folded, the circuit-side connection terminal of the first substrate section connects to the first connector, and the circuit-side connection terminal of the second substrate section connects to the second connector.
