Abstract:
This image display device is provided with: an image light formation device (100) for emitting image light; a first reflecting element (11) which acts to transmit and reflect the image light and on which the image light from the image light formation device (100) is incident; a second reflecting element (12) which acts to reflect the image light and which reflects, toward the first reflecting element (11), image light that is incident via the first reflecting element (11), thus causing image light to be incident again on the first reflecting element (11); a light-converging optical system (20) for causing image light, after being again incident on the first reflecting element (11), to be converged towards an observer's pupil position; and a control unit (40) for controlling the angle of disposition of the first reflecting element (11) and/or the second reflecting element (12) on the basis of the observer's pupil position.
