Abstract:
Provided are an image formation device and an image formation method that are capable of easily reproducing good target color spectral distribution in each section of an image. In the image formation device, which forms an image in a cholesteric liquid crystal layer, an exposure unit exposes a film in accordance with an image and an adjustment unit adjusts the amount of exposure by the exposure unit in each region of the film. The adjustment unit adjusts the exposure amount in each region of the film such that the area ratio of regions that have the same reflection wavelength band in each section of the image is the value set on the basis of the target color spectral distribution for each section of the image.
